Private commission for Emmons & Olivier Resources, Inc

Description:

This private commission was created for a civil engineering firm that wanted an iconic lobby installation that expressed its focus on the themes that defined its work designing water resource solutions. Three photographs, selected by the office from past projects, were merged into one landscape image to wrap the interior corner of the reception area.  A maple frame was constructed to hold the image and a series of mirror-polished stainless steel slats. The slats, set at angles, reflect the portions of the photo, and the surrounding space, changing with the viewer’s vantage point, to highlight the interrelated principles that guide the office’s work.
