Description:

After numerous attempts to plant various species of trees at the entrance to their contemporary Minneapolis residence, the homeowners realized that the shade of the several monumental oak trees nearby would not allow new growth to take root in this location. Sapling was created in the spirit of an imagined tree, reaching for the sky. Composed of joined stainless-steel arcs, the sculpture’s brushed finish reflects light and provides a counterpoint to the home’s angular architecture.
