Description:
The sculpture draws inspiration from the nearby limestone “story circle” designed by landscape architect Jens Jensen in the 1930s, once used as an outdoor classroom. Designed to be an integral element on the back terrace of the School of Education, I was interested in creating a place where formal and informal education might occur. The sculpture is primarily a seating area with a delicate canopy of stainless steel cable that express human interactions.
