Perennial Flow completed
October 7, 2022
Perennial Flow, completed in collaboration with mosaics by Lori Greene and bronze castings by Gita Ghei, was successfully installed on the new Louisiana Avenue overpass in St. Louis Park, MN.
The artwork is inspired by the seasonal changes that take place in the Minnehaha Creek Watershed, which passes under the bridge. Each of the seasons is represented, one on each corner of the overpass. On the bridge deck pilasters, abstract marsh grasses transition through spring, summer, fall and winter with concentrated colors emblematic of each season.
The lighting was more dramatic than any of us expected, making passing over or under a gateway-like event.
