This is part of an occasional series about objects that live in my studio.

I found the hanger–I didn’t form it, it was like that.  This is just some silly thing, but to me it looked like a dragonfly wing or a some kind of insect wing, a delicate thing.  So the natural thing was to wrap it, make a plane out of it.

When it’s illuminated by the skylight it’s pretty dramatic.
