Connections Gallery (2013) was conceived as a permanent work of art for Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis, MN, with content that could be changed by students and teachers.
The sculpture is a series of 14 unique Corten steel screens with interchangeable panels that showcase information.
I worked with students to design how the artwork would be sited, what it would be made out of, and how it would be used.
The sculpture is a gathering space in the front of the High School.
The screens are intended to be interconnected with fibrous material like acrylic or steel.
And now, during this strange time of pandemic, the Gallery supports an impromptu display of messages of hope:
